'Stunning' watch that's a 'fantastic timekeeper' has 89% discount in Debenhams sale

Bargain hunt shoppers can pick up a great deal on a classic watch from Debenhams in a deal that will save buyers 89% off the RRP.

The STÜHRLING Original Lineage Classic 42mm Quartz Watch has an RRP of £825, but is reduced to £89.40 on Debenhams. This analogue watch in black has what the makers say is an "ultra-thin profile", with a case size that is 42mm and it has a fixed coin edge bezel.

Ensuring timing precision is the Miyota 2315 Japanese quartz movement adding another element of style to its ultra-slim 9mm profile. To fasten it, the watch has a 20mm stainless steel link bracelet for sturdiness and sophistication, and it will pair well with everything, from poking out of a long-sleeved collared shirt to being shown off in all its glory on the wrist of a polo shirt wearer.

There are other colour options available, the blue face has the same discount as the black (89% off and priced at £89.40), as does the silver, while the rose gold option has an 88% discount, so costs £95.40, with the multi option reduced to £93 from the original £825 and the white option also going for the same - £93 down from the original £825.

For another option, Argos has the Armani Exchange Men's Silver Dial Stainless Steel Watch for £189.99. The blurb says: "Unleash your inner race car driver with this sleek chronograph watch", and details for it include a 46mm round stainless steel case housing precision quartz movement, with touches of red for the second hand and three chronographic mini dials.

Fossil is a brand that has been around for a while, and if watch fans are after something different, then there is the Nick Jonas x Fossil Machine Luxe Green Vignette Two-Hand Gold-Tone Stainless Steel Watch Ring, for £139. A collaboration with musician Nick Jonas, this features "a 18.5 mm statement shaped case inspired by Nick's distinct personal style, gold-toned stainless steel, a finely etched sunray dial, and a signature knurled bezel characteristic of every Machine watch." It is a unisex style that has a flexible band which can be worn on any finger.

According to watchmakers Stuhrling "quality and craftsmanship are not just standards - they're a promise." And shoppers on Debenhams have agreed, with one person labelling it "stunning", adding: "It's a fantastic timekeeper thanks to the Japanese Miyota quartz movement, has luminated hour and minute hands and baton indices and a super handy magnifier over the date window. It doesn't hurt that it looks stunning, too. It's extremely rare for me to give an item five stars but this beautiful timepiece deserves them - a "snap your hand off" bargain, bravo Debenhams!"

Another watch owner said: "Found this watch of exceptional value bought for grandson. Excellent workmanship and superior design similar to Rolex design. Very happy with purchase." While a third person made the same comparison saying: "Loving the watch reminds me of a Rolex looks great."

Negatives from shoppers included one person saying: "It's a nice looking watch but unfortunately it doesn't feel as good as it looks, I'd say it feels like a Sekonda." And someone else said on Trustpilot about a watch they'd bought from Debenhams: "I purchased a lovely new watch at a great price. Delivery was smooth although tracking data was a bit erratic. Well satisfied overall."
