Marvel Rivals getting another update as Mantis and Daredevil get fixed

Marvel Rivals developer NetEase is releasing another big new update, just a week after the release of Season 4.5.

The new Marvel Rivals update has an October 16 release date for PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox consoles and PC.

Fans can download the patch from 10am BST UK time. Better yet, absolutely no downtime is required.

The news was announced by NetEase on X: "A new spark surges through the battlefield - the latest Marvel Rivals patch arrives October 16 at 9 AM UTC!

"Suit up and uncover the newest changes, fine-tuned powers, and gameplay upgrades waiting to redefine the fight."

As you can see from the patch note further down the page, the new update also coincides with the release of new items in the shop.

Indeed, from October 17 until November 14, fans of Marvel Rivals will be able to purchase the Squirrel Girl Turbo Tailwind Bundle and Thor Lightning Fast Bundle from the item shop.

The update also makes fixes to new character Daredevil, as well as a costume issue for Mantis.

• Voice Change: Added a new voice-changing system. Players can now change their voices in game via the system settings.

• Daredevil's Fashionable Foresight: Resolved an issue where, because of a material issue, Daredevil could detect Mantis's swimsuit from far beyond his usual range, turning him into more of a fashion critic than a vigilante. Now only crime, not couture, catches his attention!

• Daredevil's Sonic Connection Correction: Resolved an issue where Daredevil's Radar Sense and other heroes occasionally had performance issues. Now, the Man Without Fear's heightened senses are sharper than ever.
