Under the Digital India vision, MeitY’s 4-day training at IIM Ahmedabad equips government officials with skills in digital governance, focusing on Digital Public Infrastructure, AI, and inclusive service delivery.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), as part of its Digital India Vision, is implementing capacity-building initiatives in Digital Governance. From August 11–14, 2025, the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), MeitY organized a 4-day training programme on Digital Transformation of the Organization & Economy at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
The programme brought together 27 officers from various Central Ministries and States/UTs, including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, New Delhi, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
Inaugurating the programme, Shri Rajnish Kumar, COO & Director, NeGD, highlighted India’s pioneering digital journey driven by Digital Public Infrastructures—identity, payments, and data exchange. He emphasized citizen-centric service delivery and encouraged case studies, policy frameworks, and impact assessments to guide the future of digital transformation.
The curriculum focused on the transformative role of digital technologies such as DPI and Artificial Intelligence in governance and service delivery. Thematic modules and interactive sessions explored responsible digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, inclusive services, and the strategic role of emerging technologies.
Through a mix of lectures, case studies, and practical activities, participants developed innovative thinking and learned applications of digital tools in health, governance, and other sectors.
This training is part of the Capacity-Building scheme under the Digital India Programme, which aims to enhance the capabilities of government officials at all levels, enabling them to conceptualize, design, and implement effective e-Governance projects.
