Tensions are reportedly rising between President Joe Biden's team and Vice President Kamala Harris's camp as the election approaches, according to Axios. While Biden's team is rooting for Harris to win the election, some senior administration members are allegedly frustrated with the president's decision to step aside from the race. A close ally of Harris addressed the internal tensions, telling Axios "They're too much in their feelings." Axios also reported that President Biden held a press conference at the White House at the same time Harris was preparing for an event in Michigan, seemingly to prevent the vice president from dominating TV coverage. In addition, while Harris has been critical of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for his response to hurricane disasters, Biden publicly praised the governor, calling him "gracious" and "cooperative." Axios sources indicated that Biden was unaware of Harris' remarks about DeSantis at the time.

White House ResponseA White House spokesperson refuted claims of a rift, telling Axios, "President Biden endorsed Vice President Harris immediately after leaving the race, rejecting other approaches that would divide the party, and has attested to her leadership abilities and continually made clear his support for her."The presidential elections will be held on November 5, 2024.
