Send Push

Swiss beauty queen Beatrice Keul has come forward, accusing Donald Trump of groping her in 1993. With this charge, Trump has now been accused of sexual misconduct 28 times.

Keul's Encounter with Trump at the Plaza HotelKeul, the 1992 Miss Europe contender and runner-up in Miss Switzerland, told The Daily Mail that Trump showed interest in her right away. Keul claims that she first got to know Trump in November 1993 when he invited her to his Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant in New York and New Jersey. Keul claimed that during an event at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, Trump spoke to her for ten to fifteen minutes, attracting the attention of others. An staffer came up to Keul later that night and said that Trump had asked for a "private meeting" in one of the hotel's suites. Assuming the discussion would go on in private, Keul nodded. But she said that Trump "jumped" on her as soon as they were in the room, taking her by surprise. Alleged Physical Contact and Attempted EscapeKeul asserted Trump attempted to raise her dress while "grabbing and touching" her body, kissing her on the lips and neck. Although she was still anxious, she thinks that being 6'1" may have helped her fend off his approaches. In an effort to defuse the conflict, she requested that they "talk first." According to reports, Trump then halted his attempts, and they spoke for another thirty minutes or so. He allegedly promised to assist her in moving to the United States as a student during this talk. Fear of Retaliation and Forced DiplomacyKeul said she felt compelled to behave politely as a foreign visitor in order to prevent confrontation. To keep him from being upset and to make sure her time at the pageant went well, she consented to meet him again. She clarified, "I was in a foreign country," adding that she was afraid of the consequences and had no idea how to get out if things became worse. She stated that protecting her safety was her first priority and that her response "saved" her from possible danger. Documented Evidence of Keul's ClaimsKeul told The Daily Mail claimed she discovered the trip's souvenirs while getting ready to relocate, including pictures, tickets, an invitation, and a plaque. Only a few weeks have passed since former model Stacey Williams said that Trump had touched her in 1993. Trump’s Response to the AllegationsTrump's team has not publicly addressed Keul's allegations, but he has refuted all previous charges, including those made by writer E. Jean Carroll and former model Stacey Williams, whose claims were recently upheld by New York court decisions. Keul's accusations have not yet been addressed by the Trump team, which continues to assert that they are "unequivocally false."
