RAIPUR: Union home minister Amit Shah along with Chhattisgarh home minister Vijay Sharma on Thursday visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, to meet with CRPF personnel injured during a recent anti-Naxal operation on the Karregutta Hills on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border.
The injured personnel included Assistant Commandant Sagar Ganesh Borade, Head Constable Munesh Chand Sharma, Constable Krishna Kumar Gurjar, and Constable Dhanu Ram, all of whom are part of the elite COBRA battalion engaged in counter-insurgency operations.
Deputy CM Sharma inquired about the health of the jawans and offered words of encouragement.
“It fills me with pride to see smiles on the faces of our brave soldiers,” said Sharma. “The entire nation salutes your strength and courage. I bow to your valor and dedication.”
He also wished them a speedy recovery and assured them of full support from the government.
