Nagpur: Strong winds uprooted several trees across the city on Friday evening, causing minor disruptions. A car, parked outside the new postgraduate hostel at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), was damaged after a tree collapsed on it.
According to the Nagpur Municipal Corporation's fire and emergency services department, the first tree fall was reported at 6.15 pm from Baba Nanak School in Lakadganj.
While response efforts were underway at that location, another alert came in from the High Court premises, where a tree had fallen near Gate No. 7. Firefighters from the Civil Lines station were promptly dispatched to the site.
At 6.39 pm, GMCH reported a tree collapse on a stationary vehicle near the new PG hostel. Fire officials confirmed that no casualties occurred in any of the three incidents.
