Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton has shared heartbreaking news. Her father, Max Pendleton, passed away on October 11 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease and later Parkinson’s dementia. The news comes just two years after she lost her twin brother , Alex Pendleton, to a brain tumour . Victoria shared an old picture of her father and brother together on Instagram. She said this is how she wants to remember them, happy, carefree, and full of life. In her post, she wrote that her father “fought hard to the finish line” and that she will always be grateful for his belief in her. She said she would not have achieved anything without his support.

According to Suffolk News, Max Pendleton was 80 years old when he passed away. Victoria’s family, including her mother Sandra and sister Nicola, were by his side during his final moments.

He sadly passed away after an epic battle against an aggressive brain tumour. Rest in peace, my kind, brave twinnie. You will forever be in our hearts.” Alex had fought cancer before when he was a child. He recovered but sadly faced it again later in life.
