As former NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom prepare to challenge The Street Profits for the WWE Tag Team Titles this Friday on SmackDown, their biggest endorsement yet has come from none other than Shawn Michaels . Speaking on the Stay Busy with Armon Sadler podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer praised their development and teamwork, saying the young duo is “clicking on all cylinders.”

From NXT rivals to SmackDown standoutsMichaels, who currently serves as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development, has overseen Fraxiom ’s progress since their early NXT UK days. According to him, the duo initially “dipped their toes” into the tag team waters before fully committing—and the results speak for themselves.

“I would 100 percent agree with the people who say that,” Michaels said when asked if Fraxiom is the best tag team in WWE today. “They are clicking on all cylinders. Very proud of both of them.”

The praise didn’t stop there. Michaels highlighted their individual skills, saying both wrestlers are still capable singles performers but have unlocked a new level of chemistry as a unit. “We’re talking about an average age of maybe 25, 26 years old. People sincerely consider them possibly the best tag team in the industry right now,” he added.

Since their main roster debut on SmackDown in April 2025, Fraxiom have stayed undefeated with key wins over Los Garza, Pretty Deadly, #DIY, and The Street Profits. Their fast-paced, dynamic style has drawn comparisons to legendary teams, and now their consistency has turned them into serious title contenders.

“They’re in their mid-20s and people sincerely consider them the best tag team in the industry,” Michaels added. “That’s amazing praise for two guys at their age.”

Fraxiom earned a title shot by defeating #DIY and will now look to claim championship gold on the May 23 edition of SmackDown. Michaels noted that their commitment to the tag team division is what truly sets them apart.

All eyes will be on Fraxiom this Friday as they face one of WWE’s most experienced duos in The Street Profits. With Shawn Michaels publicly backing them, expectations are higher than ever.

“Their tag team unity has just been amazing,” Michaels said. “They deserve to be looked at in a very serious manner.”

With momentum on their side and the confidence of one of WWE’s most respected figures behind them, Fraxiom may just be on the verge of a defining moment in their young careers.
