Travis Kelce's cryptic comments about fatherhood with Taylor Swift: Could a surprise baby be on the way?

Send Push
Travis Kelce is looking ahead and considering his future as a father. On a recent episode of his podcast New Heights, co-hosted with his brother Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star shared some lighthearted yet insightful thoughts on raising children and the importance of keeping them safe in the home.

Travis Kelce shares his thoughts on fatherhood and future family plans
Travis Kelce, who has no children of his own yet, discussed the notion of baby-proofing a house in a humorous way. While Jason offered some practical advice, like eliminating sharp corners and keeping dangerous objects out of reach, Travis added a more unconventional solution. “I think to [baby proof] the house and safe the objects in the house,” he joked, “then I’d [explicative] tell them to go outside.”

Recalling his own childhood, Travis reflected on how he was always active and adventurous. “I remember jumping off garages onto trampolines and then ending up in some bushes because I couldn’t stop myself from bouncing on the trampoline,” he shared with a laugh. “Kids are gonna be idiots.” Despite his playful approach, it’s clear that Travis values the importance of staying active and letting kids explore their surroundings, albeit with a bit of caution.

His take on parenting might seem unconventional, but Travis’ interactions with his nieces show that he’s already gaining some hands-on experience. In addition to his new niece Finnley “Finn” Anne Kelce, born last month to Jason and his wife, Kylie, Travis is also close with his other nieces, Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2. His affection for them was clear during a recent New Heights episode when he met Finnley for the first time, calling her “little muffin” and gushing, “You just look adorable, I don’t even have anything to say to you.”

Will Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift start a family of their own?

With Travis’ relationship with Taylor Swift making headlines over the past year, there’s been plenty of speculation about their future together, including the possibility of having children. Both Travis and Swift have made it clear that they’re focused on their careers for now, but the idea of starting a family has already come up. NFL legends Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski even jokingly discussed the potential future of a “superstar” child from the couple.

“I think they’d be great with a kid,” Edelman said. Gronkowski followed up with a playful comment about their future child’s career: “The kid would be performing — having eight catches a game and then doing the halftime show.”

While it's still too early to predict when or if Travis and Taylor will have children, rumors about Swift’s plans for the future are circulating. A source close to the couple mentioned that Taylor “has her future planned out to a tee,” including hopes for marriage and starting a family after Travis retires from football.
