HSBC Bank has warned about this this WhatsApp group and phone number duping people

HSBC Bank has sent its customers a warning email about certain WhatsApp groups falsely representing or impersonating HSBC Asset Management (India) Private Limited. "This group, created by an individual falsely depicts to be associated to Mr. Venugopal Manghat, CIO, an employee of HSBC Asset Management (India) Private Limited, is attempting to deceive the public," said the email. The letter also gives the phone number being used for this illegal activity. "The person behind this impersonation is using the contact number 8008723938," added the email.

The email has all official social media account names of HSBC Bank aimed to help users and prevent them from becoming a victim of fraud. These include Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. It also has two official WhatsApp accounts of the bank.
