NEW DELHI: India's air defence guns on Thursday evening responded immediately after Pakistan launched loitering munitions targeting multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir , including Jammu city's airport. This came amid India's ongoing ' Operation Sindoor ' against Pakistan-backed terrorism.
According to PTI news agency, Jammu was thrown into darkness after two powerful explosions were heard near the airport, leading to an immediate power outage in the area.
Officials confirmed that Indian forces activated counter-measures, successfully downing several Pakistani drones using anti-drone systems.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing one of the drones crash just outside the airport premises.
