The operation, which began on October 4, was a collaborative effort between the Army, BSF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Keran sector of Kupwara district.

The operation was initiated after security personnel received specific information on October 3 about the potential infiltration of terrorists through the Keran Sector.
