Kalaburagi: A major fire broke out in a large scrap godown located in the Kapnoor industrial area of Kalaburagi city on Monday evening, triggering panic in the locality as thick black smoke billowed into the sky.
Fire and emergency services personnel rushed to the spot and immediately began efforts to douse the flames. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, as workers inside the godown managed to run outside to safety in time.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The incident led to a temporary commotion in the area, but officials have brought the situation under control.
