Celebrating Sibling Bonds: Heartfelt Reflections on Rakshabandhan

Send Push
The Essence of Rakshabandhan

Rakshabandhan transcends mere rituals and rakhis; it embodies the celebration of profound connections, silent support, and enduring companionship.

Celebrities from television and film share their thoughts on the siblings who ground them, the cherished memories they hold, and the small acts that carry significant meaning. Whether it’s tying a rakhi to a cousin, a co-star, or appreciating a sister’s unwavering presence, these touching insights highlight that sibling affection extends beyond traditional boundaries.

Joyful Memories and Laughter

Mazel Vyas

As an only child, Rakhi has always held a special place in my heart. I tie rakhis to my cousins, who have been like brothers to me, and to my two uncles, who have treated me with the love and care of older siblings. This year, like every year, I eagerly anticipate our little celebration filled with love, playful teasing, laughter, and, of course, sweets! Over time, our bond has only deepened.

Sisterly Bonds and Co-Stars

Samridhii Shukla

With Rakhi approaching, I plan to send rakhis to all my brothers through courier. My connection with my cousins is incredibly strong, and I cherish each one of them. I also have a younger sister who is my best friend and confidante. Despite our age difference, she often provides me with wise counsel, which I greatly appreciate. Additionally, I intend to tie a rakhi to my co-star Mohit, whom I affectionately refer to as my brother.

Annual Connections

Sheena Bajaj

As always, I will tie a rakhi to my brother. I prefer to give him something healthy, like a box of dried fruits and berries, or sometimes a stylish T-shirt. Due to his work commitments, he lives far away, and we only manage to meet once a year. However, that annual meeting is always significant. Regardless of the distance or our busy lives, Rakhi is the occasion that emotionally reconnects us.

Unchanging Love

Saanand Verma

My sister has always been my pillar of support. On Rakhi, I typically give her money instead of a traditional gift, as it’s more practical for her needs. In the past, I would give her small amounts, but now I try to be more generous. The love we share remains unchanged. She is my only sister, and our bond strengthens with each Rakhi we celebrate. This year, I’ll be receiving the rakhi from her, which makes me happy since she has moved to my city.

A Constant Support

Kapil Nirmal

Rakhi is always special, even amidst my busy schedule. I don’t have a sister, so my relationship is primarily with my brother, who has been my unwavering support. I usually opt to give him money as a gift, as I believe practical gifts are the most useful.

Being There for Each Other

Rohit Purohit

This year, I will be shooting on Rakhi, but I always make it a priority to connect with my sister, no matter where I am. Even if we can’t celebrate together, a video call filled with laughter and heartfelt moments is essential. Our bond remains strong despite the distance. As children, Rakhi was all about excitement, sweets, and gifts, but now it carries a deeper emotional significance. We both have our own lives and responsibilities, but the essence of the festival has grown more meaningful over time. It’s about taking a moment to be present for one another, and I strive to give gifts that are personal and thoughtful.
