Next-Gen Hyundai Venue N Line Spotted Testing in South Korea: What to Expect from the Sporty Compact SUV

Send Push

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — April 21, 2025 Hyundai is gearing up to refresh its popular sub-compact SUV with the second-generation Hyundai Venue, and now, the sportier N Line version has also been spied testing on the roads of South Korea. The camouflaged prototype teases several aggressive design and performance cues that hint at a stronger performance-inspired identity.

Redesigned Styling with Sporty Enhancements

The new Hyundai Venue N Line continues the legacy of the brand’s performance sub-brand, integrating red accents along the side moldings and roof rails — a signature N Line styling trait. The front grille is expected to be redesigned and will feature the N badge instead of the conventional Hyundai logo. Spy images also suggest new alloy wheels and a reworked rear bumper with red inserts and the dual exhaust setup returning from the current model.

These upgrades aim to visually differentiate the N Line variant from the standard Venue, giving it a more aggressive and athletic road presence.

Performance Remains Familiar but Sharper

Hyundai is expected to retain the existing 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine in the new Venue N Line. This powertrain produces 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). While the engine setup is likely to remain unchanged, Hyundai may retune the suspension and braking system for a sportier, more engaging drive—typical of the N Line experience.

Interior and Feature Upgrades

Inside, the Venue N Line is expected to feature red stitching, N-branded seats, and contrast highlights for a sporty feel. New features anticipated across the Venue lineup—and likely carried over to the N Line—include:

  • Level-2 ADAS features, including blind spot detection, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control

  • Larger touchscreen infotainment system inspired by newer Hyundai models like the Creta and Alcazar

  • Ventilated front seats for enhanced comfort

  • Digital instrument cluster and updated UI for infotainment

A radar module spotted in test vehicles further confirms Hyundai’s intent to expand its driver-assistance suite.

Launch Timeline and Expectations

While the standard second-gen Hyundai Venue is expected to launch in the second half of 2025, the Venue N Line variant may debut later, possibly by late 2025 or early 2026. Given Hyundai’s pattern with N Line trims, pricing will place it at a premium over the standard turbo-petrol variants, appealing to buyers looking for an affordable sporty crossover.
